Apple buns
Buns:
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup unbleached flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 c. teaspoon baking powder
3/4 c. tsp bicarbonate of soda
1/4 c. teaspoon salt
3/4 cup plain nonfat yogurt
1/4 cup canola oil
2 c. teaspoon margarine
Filling:
1/4 to 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 c. tablespoons chopped walnuts
1 to 2 tbsp. cinnamon (to taste)
1 cup diced apples
Frosting:
1 cup icing sugar
1 c. tablespoons milk
1 c. vanilla

Preheat oven to 425 ° F. Grease a 8-inch side.
In a small bowl, combine topping ingredients and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients. Add the yogurt and oil and mix to form a paste. On a floured surface, knead the dough for about a dozen times. Lower roller in a rectangle of approximately 12X10 inch.
